Welcome to my first post!
The Boomer Rave
(rave – v. give high praise, talk wildly, ramble, n. enthusiastic praise adj. enthusiastic, glowing , admiring)
Why rave– because we have come to a place in our lives where it is time we decided that chronology has nothing to do with contribution and continuation of great lifestyles and extraordinary incomes. Recognition, celebration, and honoring the past is great; enthusiastically embracing now and what’s next is worth a rave.
Many of my peers are rapidly deciding that retirement is a word that isn’t a part of their vocabulary. It has nothing to do with economic conditions and everything to do with new perspectives and awareness that longevity whether career, contribution, or life is a decision. Creating new revenue streams, re-inventing corporations and persons is a decision. Certainly there are many who have already retired into comfy lifestyles – bravo! This is for the boomers who want to continue to work either in corporate or for themselves and who want to help their “sons and daughters” “nieces and nephews” find their way. It is for those with enthusiasm and gusto to keep on keeping on!
I want to blast away at the things that stop people and businesses from being successful. There will be many topics because most of us have far too many interests to stay on a topic for long. We are a renaissance generation! This will range from professional development and growth to ways to grow new muscles for the long haul. Change, chaos, and technology advances require our brain to adapt and flex. Innovation is an incredible gift and requires updating of our system to keep up!
For businesses it will contain ideas on how to simplify decision making processes and shorten the time from executing a solution to seeing the results. For people there will be ideas on mindset transformation and collaboration of ideas and strengths from all generations. It takes flexibility and adaptability to grow today whether it is you personally or a corporate entity. Change has been hammering us from the inside out and only awareness and alignment with expanding to the edges and expanding again will create successful outcomes.
Although it is heavily preached to find an industry niche or a specific target, which I have also taught, I am more interested in resonating with those who come here because this opens them up and lets some light in to the heavy energy sometimes thrust upon them by the actions of the days. So while I enjoy the business aspect of my life and making a difference in the company’s I get to work with; I also enjoy the transformational work I do with people that cannot be measured except by themselves, yet still contributes to the ROI of all.
So join in when you can, I look forward to your comments, contributions, and topics of interest. Expect inconsistent topics, randomness, transparency, truth, strategies, and tactics that work and a bit of fun. Welcome to The Boomer Rave.
